Helping women with chronic illnesses

Three Rivers: Sarah McLachlan, James Taylor, and Joni Mitchell

My readers observe all sorts of holidays and traditions. I certainly don’t presume that everyone reading my blog celebrates Christmas. In fact, I know that is not the case. I wanted to pick some music for this post. While this song may make reference to Christmas, to me this song is more a peaceful, soothing song than anything. So, if you are one of my readers who does not celebrate this holiday or does not follow any particular organized religion at all… please understand that I am posting this music simply because I find it peaceful and hope you will too. All three songs below are versions of the song River, written by Joni Mitchell. I couldn’t pick just one version and decided to include two cover versions as well. I think most of you will recognize the musical artists below (labeled).

Sarah McLachlan: “River”

James Taylor: “River”

Joni Mitchell: “River”

Whatever your traditions this time of year may be… please drive safely if you’re traveling, please avoid or minimize multiple chemical sensitivity exposures when at all possible, and please don’t push your body too hard. For those with chronic illness/pain, this can be a challenging time of year.

Finally, if you know someone who is housebound and/or alone this year, please consider taking a moment to reach out and say hello to them. You might just make their day.

I knew you liked the song because we had talked about James Taylor’s version. I’m glad you got to hear Sarah’s too. It’s a great song, isn’t it?

I’m not sure what happened, but I could swear I left a comment on this already… or I’m going crazy. Could be either one. Happy New Year, anyway!
