Sunflower Sunday

I decided to do one more “nature healing” post this weekend after recently discovering this sunflower field. The remaining posts from the dysautonomia series will be posted shortly.

Have you ever been driving or riding along in a car on a country road when you spotted something beautiful that resulted in pulling the car over for a closer look? Well, that’s what we did when we spotted the beautiful scene above. Needless to say, I asked my husband to take some pictures of this very bloggable field of flowers.

Seeing such beautiful flowers not only brightens my day but truly does somehow make me feel better. I am grateful that we happened upon this beautiful sunflower field. There are advantages to taking the country roads instead of the expressway once in awhile.

Looking at these pictures reminds me of the time we spent in France this time last year and stopped frequently while driving. To give the children (and us as drivers) a break, but also to just marvel at how big some of the seed heads (if thats what you call them) on sunflowers grow. 🙂 Thanks for posting these pics Jeanne brightened my day.

It really was awesome to just be driving along (riding along in my case) and suddenly spot this field. It was so pretty!! That sunset along with the sunflowers was just unbelievable. Either would be pretty alone — but together it was just breathtaking.

Sunflowers are so cheerful looking, aren’t they?
