IVF Breakthrough?

I will be resuming my posts on traveling when chronically ill shortly. See the first such post here: Chronic Travel. My energy level is still quite low and I have not finished the next travel post. Stay tuned as it should be up soon. In the meantime, be sure to read through the comments section on the above post. There are many interesting remarks there. Finally, please remember to click “Stumble It!” and/or “Tweet This” at the end of each post if you think it’s worthwhile reading and wish to share it. Thank you!

Moving on…

Attention infertiles:

Steph of Living With Endometriosis brought the following story to my attention. It is regarding in vitro fertilization (IVF) and a development that is being described as follows:

“a new egg screening technique which could offer hope to women for whom IVF has repeatedly failed has been born”

Just click below to read the story, reported by BBC World News America, regarding “Array Comparative Genomic Hybridisation”:

IVF story —> Boy conceived using new test born

Thanks for the link, Steph.

Jannie,

I couldn’t help but notice their use of the word “born” either. I know you battled infertility for a long time and can empathize with those who are unable to conceive. Infertility is so heartbreaking.
