Healing

I found this while searching for healing music.

This is dedicated to Alicia and Josh….

Lyrics:

RETURN TO INNOCENCE
By: Enigma

Love – Devotion
Feeling – Emotion

Don’t be afraid to be weak
Don’t be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend
That will be the return to yourself
The return to innocence.

If you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself don’t hide
Just believe in destiny.

Don’t care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don’t give up and use the chance
To return to innocence.

That’s not the beginning of the end
That’s the return to yourself
The return to innocence.

J,

Through the many, many chats we have had, I know how much Alicia means to you as a friend and almost as an adopted family member. My heart breaks at this news, it’s just not fair as are many things that we must go through in our lives. Alicia will certainly be well supported with you as her great friend.

As for the song/video – I love this song and the lyrics could not be any more fitting for this tragedy.

I only wish that there were words that could possibly comfort Alicia during this time, but there simply aren’t any. In social work sometimes they tell us that the best help we may offer is to sit in silence and offer our presence as we cry right along with the client. My tears will definitely join with the many other people’s tears who are terribly saddened at this news.

Melissa,

As I have put it to Alicia many times over the years, I look at her like she’s my younger sister.

It’s just terrible. It’s not fair.

I was looking for something healing. This video/song jumped out at me for several reasons. I have always loved this song but never really grasped the lyrics until today.

Me too… I wish I could say something to make her feel better but I know there is really no such thing right now. I’m doing the best I can to try to figure out how best to provide her support at this very difficult time. If she decides she needs someone to sit and cry with her, I know she knows I’ll be there in a heartbeat. I can’t even imagine what it’s like for her right now. It’s incomprehensible. I have been crying quite a bit myself because I am so sad for Alicia and Josh. You’re right. There are many people mourning the loss of this baby from Josh and Alicia’s lives.

This is a beautiful song and very fitting… I cannot imagine the pain that Alicia and Josh must be feeling and my heart breaks for them, it really does.

Let me know if there is anything I can do – I know that you are hurting too because of how much Alicia means to you and how hard it is to be unable to do anything to comfort her and ease her pain

xx

Amanda,

I appreciate your kind words and thoughts. I cannot imagine their pain either; I really can’t.

I just wish I knew how to help. It’s Alicia and Josh that need support right now.

Jannie,

I just want them to feel better. I just want them to become parents as soon as possible.
